Al Fatah Cricket Club was built by a group of friends who wanted more than a weekend game. Five seasons on we are Friendship Cup winners with a squad of twenty four, competing across three Melbourne leagues.

Who we are

A club built on loyalty, not just runs

We started in 2021 with borrowed gear and a shared idea: build a side where nobody gets left on the bench for being new, and nobody gets carried for being old friends.

Today Al Fatah Cricket Club fields a full competitive squad, runs its own training program, and backs players from junior age all the way to senior grade. We recruit for character first and coach the cricket second, which is exactly why the dressing room stays as strong as the scorecard.

Our home is Melbourne. Our colours are green and gold. Our record speaks for itself, and our next season starts now.

Faisal Hayat

Founded the club in 2021 and still leads from the front. Sets the tone on the field and runs the club off it.

Reads the game better than anyone at the club. Handles match planning, opposition analysis and in game tactics.

Full match centre

Darebin Chargers League

DCL T10, Group C with Darebin Lions, Tarneit Central, Melbourne Warriors and Wollert Rhinos. Ten overs a side and already underway.

NWS League 2026/27

Twelve clubs, two pools. Al Fatah is in Pool B, five pool games then quarter finals, semis and the grand final. Starts 30 August 2026.

Truganina Premier League

The 7th TPL, T20 Friendship Cup. Fourteen teams. We go in defending the trophy we won in 2025. Starts 4 October 2026.

Every session has a purpose. We plan matches properly, review them honestly, and fix what needs fixing.

We win with honour and we lose with our heads up. The handshake at the end matters as much as the result.
